Jackson's Bridge is nestled beneath the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, with breathtaking scenery, romantic spots, and cozy locations that welcome you back everytime you turn the page.

Jackson's Bridge

Situated 5,000 feet above sea level with breathtaking views, 2,000 acres of parks, and 300 days of sunshine each year. The area around Jackson's Bridge is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and romantics alike. The community swells at times during the year with visitors who enjoy seasonal fetes and festivals, water and adventure sports over summer, then

skiing, tobogganing and ice-skating during winter.

The Herb Farm

The Herb Farm backs onto Jackson’s Reservoir with the Rocky Mountains as a majestic backdrop. Owned by Olive Woods, and worked by son Dave Woods and fostered boy Jack Lucas, the farm specializes in growing three varieties of lavender, raspberries, and a multitude of other herbs and botanicals.

The Herb Farm certified as organic more than a decade ago, and serves as an example to other operators wanting to follow in their footsteps and join the cooperative.

The Herb Farm has also provided a safe haven to fostered children over the years, helping them to find their way in the world within a safe, wholesome and hardworking environment.

Leafton Botanicals

The brainchild of Olive and her late husband, Jacob. Leafton Botanicals is located at The Herb Farm and produces a growing range of botanical skin products. It’s a cooperative involving a number of local farmers and orchardists, who grow and supply organic plants and produce as raw materials.

Leafton Botanics began in Olive’s kitchen, then moved into a purpose-built barn when the family started complaining that there was nowhere to prepare food. It now operates a modern laboratory, and facilitates essential industry for many families in and around Jackson’s Bridge.

The products are gaining notoriety amongst people looking for alternative, effective treatment for skin care and minor skin conditions. Olive continues to develop new products whenever a good idea strikes her, but ultimately wants to offer her products alongside the pharmaceuticals that general practitioners recommend.

Bryant's Bar & Restaurant

Owned and operated by Joseph Bryant or “Bryant” as he’s more commonly known. This large log cabin was once a small timber milling facility. Bryant purchased the building, stripped the interior, then refitted it as a bar and restaurant with simple accommodation—a kind of therapy that allowed him to rejoin society after a long time living in seclusion. The bar has become a gathering place for the community.

With Molly’s assistance, and the help of servers Josh and Trey Emery after school, Bryant puts on food

and drinks for special occasions, and times when the town needs somewhere to come together. Bryant’s Bar is located near the Jackson River and the historic Jackson’s Bridge. It’s a short walk from main street, with the river trail on one side and the road on the other.

Penny's Cafe

Sam Pembroke rode into Jackson’s Bridge one night on his motorcycle and inherited Penny’s Cafe shortly after. It almost tore the community apart, and if Sam wasn’t such a good guy, the community may have never recovered.

Once rustic, Penny’s is now a modern cafe situated between main street and the Jackson River. The cafe is known for its hearty breakfasts, comforting lunches, as well as French recipes that have been in the family for generations. Newcomers to Jackson’s Bridge have usually heard about Sam’s coffee before arriving. He takes his barista duties almost as seriously as his trail running, and lives above the cafe with his father, who is a successful baker in his own right. Sam has big plans to honor his place in Jackson’s Bridge and the woman who helped him find his new home.

Dragonfly Inn

Owned and operated by ex-elementary school teacher, Abigail-Jean Porter, and located on the outskirts of the Jackson’s Bridge township. Abigail and her late husband Hal bought this large house as a retirement plan to operate a bed and breakfast. Not long after opening, Hal passed away, and Abigail has run the bed and breakfast alone ever since.

Dragonfly Inn is an important business in Jackson’s Bridge, offering cosy and affordable accommodation, as well as modest wedding and conference facilities. Abigail is known for her immaculate hosting skills, her colorful garden—including the unique Japanese garden that Hal built in memory of where they first met.

Happy's Hook & Hunt Store

This hunting, fishing and outdoor pursuits store is located on the fringe of main street, and that’s just how Happy likes it. Happy sells anything you need to go into the great outdoors, and offers guided experiences for people new to the pursuits or the area. People will pay a lot of money to shoot a good stag or hook a sizable salmon in the wilds around Jackson’s Bridge. And when they have, Happy can skin, stuff and mount the prize using his expert taxidermy skills. Happy is always ready to close-up shop and head for the back rivers or forested foothills. It doesn’t take much to convince him—a cracker day, a run in the river, or a customer who hasn’t brought his manners with him. Owning and operating the shop is simply a way for him to earn a living and pass the time between seasons. There are better things to do in life.
