Angela's stories are written to be satisfying standalone reads. However, reading them in order will provide a more rewarding and immersive reading experience.

Timeline of Books

Angela's novels and novellas in order of when they occur in the story world.

Although the novels (Jackson's Bridge Series) can be read as standalone stories, they are best read in order of book number.

The companion novellas (Jackson's Bridge Backstories Series) can be read in any order.

* Making Promises is a standalone story set and Coming Home are being released close together, as there is a romance that begins and completes across these two stories (Sam Pembroke and Clare Callahan)

Reading Order as Recommended by Angela

Novels and novellas in Angela's personal preference for reading order.

As noted above, the novels (Jackson's Bridge Series) can be read as standalone stories and are best read in order.

The companion novellas (Jackson's Bridge Backstories Series) can be read in any order, however you might like to read them in the following order. See notes below to know why.

* POV Characters are the character points-of-view the story is told.

* New Beginning and Making Promises are bonus novellas that accompany the main series of novels and can be read at anytime, whenever (and however) you arrive in Jackson's Bridge:

• New Beginning takes you straight to the heart of the town (Bryant's Bar & Restaurant), and shares the inside story of it's owner (Joseph Bryant) and fiery front-of-house red-head (Molly Jones). The town watched as Bryant gave Molly a place to start over, and they're still trying to figure out what, if anything, is going on between them.
• Making Promise is a bonus 'look back' to when Callie and Dave first met, and tells the story how the beloved Penny's Café became ex-Army medic, Sam Pembroke's. He rode into town needing a bed for a night, and ended up staying forever.
  

Why does Angela write backstories?

Developing characters with depth creates a whole life before the books begin that details the events that shaped the locals and newcomers to Jackson's Bridge. These backstories are emotional, heartwarming, and complete in their own right, making them perfect for shorter reads and a more immersive experience for readers.
